Empirical Distributions of the Robustified t-test Statistics

چکیده
One sample t-test is commonly used for the statistical analysis of experimental data in comparing mean difference between matched pairs such as pretreatment and posttreatment assessments. It well known that sensitive to contamination occurs frequently practical applications. To overcome non-robustness t-test, Park (2018) developed two robustified analogues this test based on robust statistics provided asymptotic distributions statistics, assuming size large enough. These results may not be adequate making inference including hypothesis testing confidence interval when small or even moderate. The purpose paper conduct Monte Carlo simulations obtain empirical these their quantiles accurate inference. Useful tables are also constructed a quick finding with different sizes.

Distributions of Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium test statistics.
It is well established that test statistics and P-values derived from discrete data, such as genetic markers, are also discrete. In most genetic applications, the null distribution for a discrete test statistic is approximated with a continuous distribution, but this approximation may not be reasonable. In some cases using the continuous approximation for the expected null distribution may caus...
متن کاملNull Distributions of the Quasi-Bayesian Test Statistics
Consider a sequence of independent observations that is susceptible to a change in the distributions. It is interested to test if the distributions are changed after an unknown point. Two quasi-Bayesian-type statistics are derived. Both test procedures are locally most powerful. The asymptotic null distribution of test statistics are given. Numerical critical points of the test statistics are t...
متن کاملconstruction and validation of the translation teacher competency test and the scale of students’ perceptions of translation teachers
the major purpose of this study was to develop the translation teacher competency test (ttct) and examine its construct and predictive validity. the present study was conducted in two phases: a qualitative phase as well as a quantitative phase. in the first phase of the study, the author attempted to find out the major areas of competency required for an academic translation teacher. the second...
An empirical goodness-of-fit test for multivariate distributions
An empirical test is presented by which one may determine whether a specified multivariate probability model is suitable to describe the underlying distribution of a set of observations. This test is based on the premise that, given any probability distribution, the Mahalanobis distances corresponding to data generated from that distribution will likewise follow a distinct distribution that can...
